Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship Program- SLEWS

The image features the logo of the Center for Land-Based Learning, highlighting the SLEWS program.

The Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship Program engages high school students in habitat restoration projects that enhance classroom learning, develop leadership, and make a difference on the land.

SLEWS is a unique learning opportunity that offers a hands-on experience connecting with the land, their watershed and foodshed. SLEWS also provides students with the opportunity to  learn about possible careers in agriculture, education and natural resource conservation by connecting with mentors on field days.

The Colusa RCD works with with local high schools, landowners and professionals to provide restoration activities within the community.
