Emiliano Rodriguez and Morgan Erickson, both from Pierce High School, gave presentations to the Colusa County Resource Conservation Board of Directors on “How RCDs help landowners reduce the threat of fires?”.  These two high school students impressed the board by giving actionable ways RCDs can help local landowners.  Emiliano, who place second, was able get the audience to visualize the breath of the catastrophic fires California has experience this year  by equating it to 4 Disney Worlds burning up. Morgan, 1st place, explained in depth the actionable ways RCDs and landowners can work together in being fire safe. Morgan will represent Colusa County by advancing to the Regional RCD Speak-Off October 17th in Woodland, CA.  We are so grateful for both participants and their excellent work!
